Study on the business case of the Rail Baltic project and setting up a Rail Baltic business network in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Finland.
The study to set up a Rail Baltic business network will support the business case and the future use of the Rail Baltic high-speed railway line connecting the 3 Baltic States with Poland and Finland, which is a project co-funded under the Connecting Europe Facility to bridge a major missing link in the TEN-T.

The study shall create a business network for 2-way communication about the business case of the Rail Baltica European gauge railway line project in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Finland. It will analyse the economic potential, spread information on the project and gather information about the potential customers" needs. The study will thereby stimulate the future use of the mixed freight and passenger line and enhance its added value for the whole North Sea–Baltic corridor.
Regular meetings will be organised in the 5 concerned countries, with a national or transnational audience. The meetings shall be informed by an analysis of the potential impact of the Rail Baltic project on the economies of the 5 countries, and further enrich the analysis. The study shall analyse the potential use of the existing and future railway lines by the different types of users from various economic sectors and identify possible measures to increase the volumes transported by rail.
