Radiation portal monitors.
The European Commission, Joint Research Centre (JRC) intends to sign a framework contract for radiation portal monitors.
This is intended for:
— operational safety: enhance detection on JRC sites to prevent exit of radioactive material,
— scientific purposes: devices for research and training purposes (mainly units in Ispra (Italy) and Geel (Belgium)).
The scope contains:
— purchase of detectors, control devices and related equipment and infrastructure (basement, column caps, speed ramps, etc.),
— installation (including testing and training),
— maintenance and performance test.
This procedure consists of 3 lots.
Vehicle (car/truck) radiation portal monitors
European Commission, Joint Research Centre,
JRC Geel site, Retieseweg 111, 2240 Geel, BELGIUM, and/or
JRC Ispra site, via Enrico Fermi 2749, TP 800, 21027 Ispra VA, ITALY.
The models requested in this lot are:
— drive-through RPM (double pillar, large detectors) (mainly JRC-Geel site (Belgium) but optionally also possible in Ispra (Italy)),
— stand-still RPM (single pillar, large detector) (mainly JRC Ispra site (Italy) but optionally also possible in Geel (Belgium)).
The framework contracts will include:
— the purchase of the full equipment, i.e. detectors, monitoring devices and related infrastructure (cabling, basement, pillar caps, speed ramps, etc.),
— the on-site installation (including the functional testing and the training of future users) and maintenance during the guarantee period.
See Internet address provided in Section I.3 of the contract notice.
Pedestrian spectrometric radiation portal monitors (single body)
The models requested in this lot are walk-through SRPM (single body, detection and identification) (mainly JRC-Geel site (Belgium) and JRC-Ispra site (Italy)).
Pedestrian radiation portal monitors (‘arch’ type)
European Commission, Joint Research Centre, JRC Geel site, Retieseweg 111, 2240 Geel, BELGIUM.
The models requested in this lot are a stand-still RPM (‘arch’: lateral + bottom, detectors) (mainly JRC-Geel site (Belgium) but optionally also possible in Ispra (Italy)).
