        The ITER organisation and the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy (F4E) were established in 2007. After 10 years it is considered useful to evaluate the effect of the contractual activities in terms of economic impact and job creation in Europe (value for money). The study should review and draw conclusions on the impact of ITER project activities on the EU industry, regional development, employment, investments, research and innovation, and other economic effects in all sectors.

        The study should review and draw conclusions on the impact of ITER project activities on the EU industry, regional development, employment, investments, research and innovation, and other economic effects in all sectors.

        The contractor should prepare the study by first collecting relevant data supporting the analyses of the corollary effects of the investment in the ITER and BA (‘Broader approach’) projects on relevant sectors in the EU Member States and finalising it by giving detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses on the position of ITER in the current EU energy and research policy context, as follows:

        a) creation of the data source;

        b) effects of European industry"s engagements in ITER and BA on EU economy and its competitiveness;

        c) cross-cutting analysis and assessment of the ITER activities in the current EU energy, innovation and research policies context.
