         In een eerder project heeft het instituut voor Tropische geneeskunde (ITG) en het National Progamma voor Slaapziekte in de D.R.Congo (PNLTHA) een alternatieve methode ontwikkeld voor het actief screenen van Human African Trypanosomiasis (HAT) en werden de benodigde ICT tools ontwikkeld.

         Verder bouwend op dit project is de ontwikkeling van een digitaal systeem van cruciaal belang in het kader van de eliminatiestrategie voor HAT, waarvoor drie hoofddomeinen zijn geïdentificeerd:

         1) Mobiele applicatie

         2) Data warehouse

         3) Dashboard

         Het project startte in 2016 en zal duren tot eind 2018 waartussen deze digitale oplossingen moeten worden ontwikkeld, gestabiliseerd in veldomstandigheden met een functionele data-architectuur en dataflow.

         Vandaag is ITM op zoek naar een softwareontwikkelaar die de ontwikkeling van deze 3 hoofddomeinen kan overnemen halverwege het project.
